| This current body of work is done on transparency film. Images are scanned, printed and overlaid to create my own unique environments – somewhat surreal and mysterious. Most of my work incorporates architectural and photographic elements that juxtapose structure and nature, man and matter. |
| I use my own images whenever possible (both artwork and photographs I have taken) and recombine them with found images. I alter the images, reduce or enlarge them, layer them, lighten and darken them, overlay them and continue to tweak them until I am satisfied. I repeat certain images in my work to create a mood, make a statement or provide continuity - those images then become my own personal symbols. |
| Sometimes I collage directly onto the transparency film as well as apply mixed media on the non-transparent aspects of the images to create my finished pieces. |
