Painting, collaging, experimenting with different textures and mediums is my passion, healer and vehicle for creative self expression. Whether I work in oils, acrylics, watercolor, inks, clay, printmaking, collage or assemblage, the challenge is always there along with infinite possibilities and the versatility I crave.

| My love of nature, happy themes and bold color dominated my earlier works. However, when I did a small black and white photo transfer collage in memory of my mother, a whole new artistic dimension seemed to open. The process became more important than the end result… as did things symbolic, black and white, non-referential, abstract and architectural. I began to let go and tap into my own intuitive reservoir. |
| My themes have taken focus. I like to play with the idea of choices and their consequences urban sprawl and its impact on our environment, man in relationship to nature and spirituality, and transitions from darkness into light. Photography and more recently transparency film have become exciting mediums for me. By using many of my own digital photographs, scanning them onto acetate, or doing image transfers and recombining them with found images, I create my own unique architecture with an outcome often surreal, mysterious, and somewhat provocative. |
